What’s on the menu:
A clear, practical way to think about where returns come from, and how a broadly diversified portfolio can be tilted toward value and profitability to work harder for clients.
What higher expected returns means once you sit down with a client, and how to explain it in plain language that builds confidence.
How to weigh low-cost, index-like diversification against the case for active decisions, and where each belongs in a client portfolio.
Ready-to-use ways to frame value, patience and cost in client conversations, so a sound long-term approach becomes an easy story to tell.
Speaker
Eduardo Repetto, Ph.D.
Chief Investment Officer
Eduardo is one of the most respected voices in systematic, evidence-based investing. As chief investment officer of Avantis, he directs the research, design and implementation of the firm's strategies, translating decades of financial science into portfolios built for everyday use by advisers and their clients.
A Ph.D. in aeronautics from the California Institute of Technology, he brings an engineer's discipline to markets: start with the evidence, test it, and build something that works in practice. Avantis, backed by American Century Investments, describes itself as “powered by financial science” and “created to deliver value-added solutions at low fees.”
