Chief Investment Officers Symposium

Serious portfolio thinking, with the people who matter

Date:
1 - 2 September 2026

Location:
Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club
489 Glenferrie Rd
Kooyong VIC 3144

The Chief Investment Officers Symposium is a technically rigorous, invite-only forum built around peer-level discussion and governed by an advisory committee of recognised practitioners. The symposium is for chief investment officers and equivalent senior investment decision-makers across private wealth, family office, consulting, and institutional allocation.

Why attend?

  • A room of true peers. A carefully curated group of chief investment officers and senior investment decision-makers, convened for candid, high-quality discussion in a closed-door setting.

  • Serious portfolio thinking. Sessions are built around the issues that matter most to senior investors: portfolio design, regime uncertainty, liquidity, governance, implementation, and risk. Every session is intended to sharpen judgement.

  • Practical value, not theory. From the portfolio teardown to the Risk Lab and CIO Clinic, the programme is designed to be applied. Attendees leave with frameworks and ideas they can take directly into investment committee discussions.

  • Chatham House Rule. No recording, no public attribution, no media. The format enables the candid conversation that most industry events cannot.

  • A flagship forum for investment leadership. Designed to become the leading gathering for advanced investment thinking in Australia, with a strong editorial standard and a disciplined, no-sales format.

Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club

Set in Melbourne's leafy inner east, Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club is one of the city's most distinctive event venues, where more than a century of heritage meets first-class facilities. Just minutes from the CBD, it feels a world apart from the everyday. At its heart, the light-filled, pillar-free Stadium Room looks out over the historic grounds, manicured gardens and city skyline on one side, and Kooyong's iconic stadium on the other.
