Roy Keenan
Co-Head of Australian Fixed Income

Roy is a senior leader within the Fixed Income team at Yarra Capital Management, with a focus on Australian Fixed Income and Credit.

Roy has over 30 years of investment experience, both in asset management and trading. He has specialised in credit products since 1995. Roy has been a part of the investment management team for the Yarra Enhanced Income Funds since the Funds’ inception in 2002 and continues to manage these Funds. Additionally, Roy serves as co-portfolio manager for the Yarra Income Plus Fund.

Before joining Yarra Capital Management, Roy was the Head of Australian Credit at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He started his career at Goldman Sachs in 1992, working within the firm’s securities division as a price maker/trader in government and corporate bonds. From 1997, he served as Head of the Fixed Income Desk, specializing in brokering and trading high-yield products. He transitioned to the Asset Management division in 2008. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Roy worked for four years in the Investment Management Division of the State Insurance Office. In 1988, he moved to the Treasury Corporation of Victoria, specializing in liability management of debt products, both domestically and offshore.

Roy holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Swinburne University in Melbourne.
